Workforce Readiness


Are you interested and eager to participate in one of our Earn and Learn programs but need a “refresher course” to get into your program of interest? We’ve got you covered with the Apprenticeship Ready Training Program.

The Apprenticeship training consists of an intensive 8-week program to help participants develop the skills needed for entry into apprenticeship programs and the opportunity for a career with high wage earning potential. The training includes, but is not limited to:

  • Apprentice-specific prep
  • Workforce preparation and ethics
  • Academic improvement in reading and math
  • OSHA workplace safety training
  • Other professional skills

Earn and Learn Program Opportunities


Program Type

Work Readiness Program

  • Entry level OSHA certification
  • Paid to attend training
  • Opportunity to test for industry certification
  • Exposure to multiple career fields
  • Training from industry professionals
  • Career placement support upon graduation from the program

Program Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Interest in working in industry-approved apprenticeship programs
  • Completion of ICC English, Math and Mechanical Aptitude Tests

This Pre-apprenticeship Training Program is specifically designed to increase the number of minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals enrolled in industry-approved apprenticeship programs. Job Placement Opportunities include jobs in Manufacturing, IT, and Transporation and Energy Programs.
