Apprenticeship Ready


ICC’s Workforce Readiness Training Program is designed to increase the number of minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals enrolled in industry-approved apprenticeship programs.

The training consists of an intensive eight-week program to help participants develop the skills needed for entry into apprenticeship programs and the opportunity for a career with high-wage earning potential.

The training includes, but is not limited to:

  • Apprentice-specific prep
  • Workforce preparation and ethics
  • Academic improvement in reading and math
  • OSHA workplace safety training
  • Other professional skills

Earn and Learn Program Opportunities


Program Type

Program Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Interest in working in industry-approved apprenticeship programs
  • Completion of ICC English, Math and Mechanical Aptitude Tests

This Pre-apprenticeship Training Program is specifically designed to increase the number of minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals enrolled in industry-approved apprenticeship programs. Job Placement Opportunities include jobs in Manufacturing, IT, and Transporation and Energy Programs.
