Teaching Academy
The course is designed to provide participants an opportunity to learn and apply best practices in pedagogy using a variety of online resources, discussion forums with colleagues, and assessment of current practices using the QOCI Rubric. Participants will apply what they learn to
- establish a community of learners
- build a student-centered syllabus
- design or redesign a course
- develop strategies to enhance engagement
- understand and apply assessment practices, as well as evaluation and grading techniques
- develop a draft or revise an individual teaching philosophy
