Teaching Academy

The course is designed to provide participants an opportunity to learn and apply best practices in pedagogy using a variety of online resources, discussion forums with colleagues, and assessment of current practices using the QOCI Rubric. Participants will apply what they learn to

  • establish a community of learners
  • build a student-centered syllabus
  • design or redesign a course
  • develop strategies to enhance engagement
  • understand and apply assessment practices, as well as evaluation and grading techniques
  • develop a draft or revise an individual teaching philosophy
